The Cajun Shrimp and Steak Feast is a bold, flavorful dish that combines juicy, well-seasoned steak with succulent shrimp, all coated in rich Cajun spices. This quick and easy meal is perfect for those who love Southern flavors, and it pairs beautifully with sides like rice, garlic bread, or roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or preferred cut), cut into strips
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving:

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Optional sides: steamed rice, garlic bread, roasted vegetables

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Season steak strips with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook in a hot skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until desired doneness. Set aside to rest.
  2. Cook the Shrimp: Toss shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, minced garlic, lemon juice, and smoked paprika. In the same skillet, cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  3. Serve: Plate the steak and shrimp together, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges. Pair with your preferred sides for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
  • Rest the steak before serving to retain its juices.
  • For a smoky flavor, add smoked paprika to the shrimp.
