For the Steak:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Cheesy Rice:

  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth (or water)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Steak: Toss steak cubes with olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Marinate the Shrimp: Toss shrimp with olive oil, garlic, paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Cook the Rice: Boil rice in chicken broth, simmer until tender. Stir in butter, garlic powder, and cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill the Steak: Preheat grill. Grill steak for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked to desired doneness. Let rest.
  5. Grill the Shrimp: Grill shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  6. Assemble: Serve steak and shrimp over cheesy rice. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute brown rice or another type of cheese.
  • If grilling is not an option, use a skillet to cook the steak and shrimp.
